The Planet-EV1Servers, Round-Out Leadership Team, With Technology Veteran

Houston, Texas - September 12, 2006 - Dedicated hosting provider, The Planet, and EV1Servers, have named Steve Kahan as its new Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. With more than 20 years of technology industry experience, Mr. Kahan will be responsible for the strategic marketing direction of the company.

Douglas J. Erwin, Chairman and CEO commented, ''This is a tremendous addition to the company. Steve has a track record of executing breakthrough strategies for technology companies and he has already developed some very aggressive ideas to help move our company forward.''

Mr. Kahan joins the company just after its announcement of Kevin Klausmeyer as CFO and Joseph Horzepa as General Counsel, all joining Mr. Erwin as the core executive leadership team. Together, their primary objective is to strategically grow the company and to establish it as the premier Webhosting Powerhouse.

Mr. Kahan was most recently president and CEO of Alert Logic, which provides on-demand IT network protection for small and mid-sized businesses. Previously, he served as vice president of worldwide marketing for BindView Corporation, a leader in the security policy compliance market, where he led efforts to reposition and refocus the company on its core security compliance business, ultimately resulting in BindView's acquisition by Symantec in January of 2006.

Mr. Kahan has also led marketing initiatives for leading security industry firms Postini, NetIQ and PentaSafe Security Technologies, serving as vice president of marketing during PentaSafe's acquisition by NetIQ in 2003. Kahan served as the founding president and CEO of e-Security, Inc., from its inception in 1998, helping to create the software provider category known today as Security Information Management, or SIM. He holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University.

Additionally, the company will soon roll out a new product management structure wherein an increased focus will be implemented toward specific customer needs within particular product offerings. Every department will be led by a dedicated manager that is strengthened with more tools, training and support, which will lead to a higher level of customer service within each product category.

The Planet-EV1Servers, the newly merged webhosting firm, provides dedicated server lines with multiple datacenters in Dallas and Houston, The Planet-EV1Servers provides fully redundant dedicated hosting solutions that are readily available and scalable.
