ArielHost Launches Windows Hosting
August 23, 2006 -- Web hosting provider ArielHost (arielhost.com) announced on Wednesday it has introduced Windows Web hosting alongside its existing FreeBSD-based packages.
ArielHost says the introduction of Windows hosting enables it to better serve developers and merchants running specialized applications that require Windows Server 2003, as opposed to a BSD or Linux platforms.
"While we are still fully committed to providing FreeBSD based hosting, we recognize that many clients are seeking Microsoft technologies such as .NET and Microsoft SQL Server to power their online presence," says Ariel Benzakein, COO of ArielHost. "We're bringing the same high level of quality we offer with our Unix hosting services to those customers that require Windows based hosting."
The new Windows plans, hosted on 2.4 GHz Dual Xeon-powered servers with 2GB of RAM, start at $14 per month for 200MB of disk space and 1GB of monthly traffic. Unlimited email accounts, sub-domains, mySQL databases and FTP accounts are also included. ArielHost will also offer its merchant services to its Windows hosting customers, which includes VoIP telephony, ScanAlert's PCI Compliance scanning and merchant accounts through applied merchant systems.
