Internet America Announces Acquisition of WaCool Internet's Subscriber Base and Wireless Facilities
DALLAS, Nov 18, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Internet America, Inc. (GEEK), a leading Internet service provider, today announced that it has acquired the wireless facilities and approximately one hundred subscribers of WaCool.net, a West, Texas based Wireless Internet Service provider serving the Waco-Dallas Corridor.
Privately-held WaCool.net provides wireless Internet access and dial-up access solutions to individuals looking for a high-quality Internet service provider. WaCool.net delivers wireless Internet access via a platform developed using standards based 802.11 (Wi-Fi) technology.
